Treats for Lunar New Year!

Happy 2021 and the upcoming Lunar New Year on February 12. It's one of the most food-centric holidays of the year. We are gearing up for the Year of the Ox by making a limited-edition special jam and handmade marshmallow flavor.

Mandarin oranges are a popular gift for Chinese New Year as their color and name are linked with fortune and prosperity. We infused them with elderflower liqueur and ginger for a decadent mandarin jam. It makes a great cocktail, glaze, and upgrade for your favorite dessert!

Growing up celebrating the holiday with my family, one of my favorite memories was to eat almond cookies for dessert. Our Wicked Finch twist for Chinese New Year was to create almond cookie marshmallows as a pillowy, gluten-free alternative. I don't mean to brag, but these are DELICIOUS! Alone or in coffee or hot chocolate, they are insane. The traditional cookie symbolized wealth because they resembled coins. Our marshmallows, I like to think of as gold ingots, topped with a tasty toasted almond.

Are you ready to taste the treats? You know you are!
