Happy National Mushroom Day! We partnered with Yelp Hudson Valley and Caravan NYC to bring together the Hudson Valley's best makers and small businesses to celebrate mushrooms and flowers for spring.
For the "Shrooms" part, Pawling's Sunflour Bakery made gorgeous cupcakes and cookies for the theme. Odyssey Elixer is a cordyceps mushroom beverage incorporating refreshing fruit combinations with the health benefits of the super ingredient. Jeff from 4Wall Farm showed off beautiful varieties of pink, gold, exotic mushrooms and taught everyone how to grow their own oyster shrooms at home. Nature's Impact guided everyone into making their own mushroom clay art.
For the "Blooms", the team from Arber organic planting nutrients led a workshop on planting food for spring and summer. Bittersweet Florals provided a DIY flower bar for guests to take home their own arrangements.
We led a demo on making a ricotta, boozy jam board in an upgraded variation of the social media butter board trend with edible flowers. The Foccacia Flourist also incorporated edible flowers in her stunning bread art.
